DCI training in Tamil Nadu

With our hearts filled with thankfulness to God we rejoice together with our DCI Staff Muthu Raja in South India for his hard labour. John has seen great growth as he has laboured to raise up disciples of Jesus Christ in Tamil Nadu. In large and small sessions he is faithful in helping Christians grow in their love and service of the Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for his work to continue and grow in fruitfulness.

New semester at LTCi

Exciting times in Siliguri as LTCi enters into its second year. To date six new students have been enrolled and we would ask you to pray that the Lord will bring more admissions through the next month. We also ask you pray for those who have arrived as they adjust to a new life as a theological student. Some of the second years are still on their way back. Monday saw the orientation session take place followed by Tuesday’s retreat day, with Wednesday signaling the first full day of classes.

Below are a few photos of the action: Moala introducing the LTC staff to the new students; Ben Longchar sings during the retreat; staff and students pray together; Peter, a new student, introduces himself.

Imphal Evangelists in Siliguri

Over the last few days a group of 20 evangelists from Imphal (Manipur) have been attending a teaching retreat at LTC in Siliguri, which has taken as its theme Romans 12:2, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind”. For the evangelists it is part of their regular monthly programme where they take time to seek the Lord for his strength and guidance. All of the Siliguri based staff have been involved in practical help, teaching and generally encouraging these men and women of God. It has been a wonderful time of mutual edification and encouragement for all involved. Below are a couple of photos from the training sessions.

These are the words of Markus Mukhia from Bhutan, please join with us in praying and supporting his important, but very demanding, work in this Buddhist nation [Ed.].

“…here you will find some few pictures ongoing construction…i took some recent pictures of our Fellowship in Tsirang as well as newly built house. The house was already completed before several months ago BUT I was delayed to update you because of NO camera to take pics, anyways I managed to do it by now.so have a glance for your references & records.

Please do pray for one of old woman in my field that she has recently accepted Christ as her personal saviour & Lord…BUT she is suffering from physical paralytic since 2003. She desperately need Jesus to Heal & save her eternally.her husband is orthodox hindu (Local doctor) Black Magician. He denies the gospel & prevent others from being preached. In fact,if He come to Christ then that whole village will be Transformed. so we do covet yours all continuous prayers.

…Above all I really do Express our heartfelt Gratitudes for your Financial supports for constructing this Church cum residence house block, which was the great need for us before. we all rejoice & give Glory to GOD for HIS timely provisions.

Please pray for;

> the new souls (unbelievers, those who have not heard the gospel).

>new believers for their spiritual growth,

>the political situation,(political leaders & religious leaders,monks….)

>for the ministry to be effective as Christian Leaders Teamwork & Networking for the unreached & remote areas.

>for the ministry needs.(Financial supports/income re-generation resources to be established asap).

Latest DCI Work in Sikkim

Am sending you, a brief update of our recent DCI (Dynamic Churches International, http://www.dynamicchurches.org/) training in Sikkim. Most of the participants were adults this time around. Not only DCI Training but more importantly we enjoyed our training, refreshing ourselves with the Lord. At the end of the day, as you see in the pictures, almost all the participants confessing our sins (known and unknown), renewing our relationship with Him and re-committed again afresh. I personally enjoyed our programs this time. Please uphold in your prayer for all the participants including me and Themrei, that we will be faithful to Him always.

Thank you so very much for your constant prayer all the times. I know, it is only your prayer support that we could experienced something new.

Thank you once again.

LTCi Library Appeal

books1.jpg

This is our special appeal for our newly started Bible college called Life Transforming college International. We started the classes from the July 2010. We are really needing to buy books from OM India and other availble sources here in India.

For this special project, we request your church to kindly help us in three forms:

1. You can help us $1000 every year as the budget for 3 years 2010,2011, 2012. So that with the fund that you send we can buy books in India for our Library.

2. We need commentaries, reference books, Theological books to donate and send to Corner Stone Baptist Church who is willing to ship books for our Library by container. The email is: Rick Vogeler (rvogeler “at” cbcfamily “dot” org); Rick is organising to ship books for us. Books can be used or new. Rick Vogler will send you the church address.

3. We really need more computers so that students can have internet access and we can have eLibrary as well. We are trying to install many eLibrary in all the availble computer. Desktop here is costing us $570. Through the help of Cornerstone Baptist Church we have installed five computers, one printer, one copier machine and wi-fi in the Library. Five compueters is not enough at all. We are looking for ten compueters for this year.

Kindly take up this request to the church elders or Mission committee and let us know how much you can help us.
