Christmas in Shillong

We enjoyed a lot Christmas in Shillong.

Particularly , one family who never go to Church, attended and we sang together in Church on 25th and they want to sing again during New year also, we are joining in singing.

We celebrated 24th night in their house and my husband shared the message and they want me to share again on 31st night in their house again. This is only in our locality(5 families but 25 of us ). Pls pray for me for 31st night sharing.

Anshu Academy Tripura

The first Advent Christmas celebration at Anshu Academy , Jariksom on December 8, 2010. The Chief Guest was Master Sudhir, Convener of Local School Managing Board. Children’s parents participated in the function which is a common platform both for Christians and non-christians. Parents were impressed to see children’s activities.

Tripura Closing Events

Dear All,

At the close of the year, we use to have, Spiritual Retreat cum Fasting Prayer followed by Advent Christmas Celebration every year. The said program was held from December 15 through 17, 2010. Staff shared certain topics for spiritual renewal. Every Evangelist shared their experiences with prayer requests and the staff laid hands on them and prayed for their prayer requests.

A sad incident: Rominjoy, one of the Evangelists lost his beloved teenage daughter who passed away recently. We prayed for the bereaved family. Evangelists and staff contributed in cash as a token of love and concern with a special prayer.

On this occasion, certain results were declared such as, best attendance in its monthly Evangelist Meeting, Spiritual appetizer (memorization of scriptures, in every meeting, two scripture verses are recited) the evangelists who got the highest number of baptized members and Preaching competition basing on BTCP Bible Study Methods. Best of three were given cash prizes in all the aforesaid items for encouragement. Finally, an Advent Christmas was celebrated followed by a special feast and gifts exchange. In fact, it was a blessed time for all of us. The office will remain closed from December 22, 2010 through January 11, 2011 for Christmas and New Year vacation.

LTC Tripura – Ministry Update Part 1

[This is a long report so it has been edited into two parts]

Greetings from Leadership Training Center, Tripura. It is my privilege to update the ministry reports of its center for your kind information and prayer.

Fund raising tour for Evangelist Supports: (October ’10)

As informed earlier, all the Evangelist support will be expired by December 2010. There are 23 existing Evangelists out of which 6 Evangelists have got supports and now looking for 17 Evan. Supports. LTC/BBCC staff (4 members) visited Tangkhul Fellowship Guwahati, Dimapur (TBC Nagarjan, TBC Diphupar, TBC Wungram, TBC Zingsoram) which was arranged by Tangkhul Bapt. Assn. Nagaland(TBAN) under the leadership of Rev. Rozarim Woleng.TBCI and Mapao Keithelmanbi Bapt. Church. Apart from Tangkhul Churches, we got an opportunity to visit and shared our needs to another 2 fellow Naga churches, such as Kasiram Ao Baptist Church Dimapur through the initiation of Mrs. Moala Kashung and Rengma Baptist Association, Dimapur. They couldn’t give their decision immediately, however, their responses were quite positive and expecting some evangelist supports from the said churches.

Green Signals received for Evangelist supports:

Tangkhul Baptist Church Imphal (TBCI) is willing to support one Evangelist, Mr. Shivaji Riang for 3 years (2011-2013). At present, he is at Trinity Missionary Training Center for a short course training.
I.K. Muivah, IPS officer has expressed his willingness to support one Evangelist.
Apart from these, we are expecting more Evan. Supports from other churches where we have visited and shared our needs during our last trip.

Bible Cover Project:

In order to raise fund for Evangelists support, LTC/BBCC staff has arranged Bible Covers with Riang/Bru traditional print called “MMUL” on its cover. It is a target for Rs. 100,000/- from its project. Some of the Bible Covers were sold out during our trip. We could enjoy maximum favors from well-wishers in general and TBCI in particular. The highest one was Rs. 5000/- for one Bible cover from TBCI. The least one was Rs. 500/-. There is a well plan to sell out more bigger numbers in Tripura and neighboring states very soon.

Tangkhul Missionary Network Conference, Delhi: (October ’10)

My wife and I got a privilege to attend a TMN Conference in New Delhi from October 28-30. We were so blessed through the challenging messages of the speakers/resource persons. We could come back home with renewed hearts and certain decisions. It was worth attending.

A happy moment to get new two souls in a Train journey:
Through God’s grace, two Brahmins could accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Umesh Dutt. a business man from Panjab, who runs his business at Nagaun Assam and Shri Bhagawan from Hariyana an Air Force staff at Jorhat were traveling together in the same compartment from Guwahati to New Delhi. I got an opportunity to share the gospel. After a lengthy sharing, they were fully convicted by the Holy Spirit and accepted Christ. While sharing, my wife and my nephew Vareishing helped me in prayer which was another winning force from behind.

As they desired/demanded, I have sent one Bible each with Sadhu Sadhu Sundersing’s book by post. Mr. Umesh Dutt is so curious to know about the supreme God who called me back on phone for several times. I too keep on sharing the word of God on phone with prayer for his spiritual growth. He even invites my wife and me to visit his wife and son at Nagaun. Please uphold them in your prayer.

A Couple Seminar:

A Couple Seminar was organized by LTC/BBCC being hosted by Dergang Baptist Assn and sponsored by “Ark Family Ministries” from September 27-29 at Khakhomthai Baptist Church (DBA). Mr. Kerry Chaniso, Coordinator, North East took an initiative part for the success of the program. Jayaraj Chinta, Director, and his wife Kailash Chinta and Kerry Chaniso were the main resource persons. About 50 couples attended in the Seminar. It was a successful program.

LTC Tripura – Ministry Update Part 2

Mayonsing Vashi & Lemila Vashi, Tripura

Anshu Academy, Tripura:

Through God’s grace, two Anshu schools are in good progress having sufficient students in each class (45-55). One class each will be upgraded every year. 1. Ganganagar: K.G to Class-II,
2. Jariksom: K.G. to Class-I. The school at Ganganagar is conducted at village old Bazar shed. The government concerned department is going to dismantle it very soon for which, a new school shed is badly needed. The school at Jariksom is a thatch house which is congested. It will be extended for next academic session. Please pray for it.

New Baptized members:

From August to November 2010, 23 persons have been given baptism. Let us praise God together. Some of them are ready for baptism. Please pray for them.

Theological Training:

Two Riang/Bru students have been sent to “Life Transforming College International” LTC Siliguri for B.Th & Diploma courses. (A. Lalmuanawma & A. Lalnunsanga). Please pray for them.

BBCC Fasting Prayer Days:
BBCC is observing its Fasting Prayer day in all existing 4 associations in different churches in different days. Envelopes are distributed to the church members in advance and collected it on its prayer day. Four staff members use to attend on its prayer day in leading churches and collect the contributed amount which is meant for Evangelist supports. Please pray for this program.

Newly installed items:

Upon our request, Manolia Bible Church USA has sent some gifts out of which the following items have been purchased for the ministry.
1. A Canon Laser Printer
2. A Lady’s two wheeler
3 One Table
4. A Digital Inverter
5. A water purifier and
6 Utensils. There are still more items to be purchased before Christmas.
